The North Island Motorhome & Caravan Expo was held in March 2010 in Hamilton.

 Jucy adds to Australian vehicle fleet

Car and camper rental operator Jucy is adding 100 vehicles to its Australian fleet, positioning itself for a pick-up in the economy.

The company said 80 of the new vehicles would be Choppa campervans, which have four seats, two double beds, a DVD and MP3 player, water tank, fridge, electric cooling fan, double gas cooker and a safe.

The additional vehicles would take Jucy's investment in Australia to $7.5 million, with a total fleet of 320 vehicles. In New Zealand Jucy has 1400 cars and 450 campers.

"To grow in 2009-10, we need to keep working harder and keep developing our fleet, to make sure we can deliver to more customers when the economy picks up," Jucy Rentals chief executive Tim Alpe said.
